We are so excited for our annual Sports Ball this year, and we need your help nominating some exceptional students who have contributed greatly to their club, their fellow peers and JMSU in general, as well as colours nominations.

Member's Choice

Awarded to the club who has made a difference across all team LJMU sports clubs experience through guidance, inspiration and collaboration.

Sports are nominated by other sports; it’s then shortlisted by the Sports Panel and goes out to member vote. The winner has been nominated and voted by Team LJMU club members.

Sports Member of the Year

This is awarded to the person who has shown the most commitment and enthusiasm to their club for Team LJMU this year, making an outstanding contribution to Sports.

Sports are nominated by other sports; it’s then shortlisted by the Sports Panel and goes out to member vote. The winner has been nominated and voted by Team LJMU club members.

Volunteer/Coach of the Year

This is awarded to a coach/volunteer who has demonstrated a significant contribution to the club and its teams.

Inclusion Award

Inclusion Award is awarded to the sports club who have made the most effort to remove barriers to inclusion and engage with the full diversity of the student body.

Best New Sport

This award will go to a club affiliated in the last 12 months who have made a great start to their first year as a group!

This could mean a great increase in membership, success in competitions, and going the extra mile to promote and grow the sport/club.

Varsity Team of the Year

Varsity Team of the Year is awarded to a Varsity team/club who delivered a strong performance and captured the spirit of the games through gamesmanship, support and embracing Team LJMU!

This Award celebrates the remarkable growth and improvement of a sports club, recognising significant progression in the last academic year.

VP Activities Award

The BUCS Team of the Year is awarded to the BUCS Team who has competed exceptionally in their competition and represented the University to a high standard.
